Peggy`s in Wrens

The food was amazing! The fried chicken was light and crispy. The side vegtables we amazing. It was worth the stop. My husband had the beef over rice and he said it was great. Great food and a great price!

I had lunch at Peggy's restaurant today and it was in Wrens Georgia and it was delicious as worth the ride the food taste like homemade they give you way more than you can eat so y'all need to take a ride up it's very very good you won't be sorry

The food here is typical Southern comfort food: green beans, black-eyed peas, macaroni and cheese, fried chicken, and so on. The food is served cafeteria-style, so it's fast. There isn't a huge selection, but the food is all pretty good and they do offer other items like salads separately. The establishment itself is pretty tidy.

Great country cooking! The best mac n cheese I've ever tasted in my entire life. (Pork chops were dry)

Southern cooking at it's finest. The server was a little gruff but the generous portions more than made up for it. I will definitely visit again the next time I'm passing through.

Loved this place and so does everyone in town. The line for this amazing buffet gets very long when they open and I know why now. It is great food!

You can call me a city boy because I live in the heart of metro Augusta but if I could travel out to peggy's every day for some amazing homestyle country cooking I would. This place is always packed with people for a reason. The food is amazing! No frills, no gimmicks just good old southern country cooking that will put your moms cooking to shame. If you are ever in the area, I would suggest trying it at least once.

Delicious food served with a smile. Down home cooking and atmosphere. A terrific place to share a meal with friends and family.

Never seen 2 people handle a whole restaurant full of people and not fall behind and they were not spring chicks😘 . Amazing people and good food. Stop thru on HWY 1 and eat good for a good price.

Have been coming to Peggy's for years. It had been a while since I went. My Dad was in town so we had lunch there about a week ago and it was still just as good.

The food was amazing. I was passing through town with my family and decided to stop for dinner. It was probably the best fries chicken I've ever had. The black eye peas and potatoes were great as well. Everyone working was friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good affordable meal.

After eating there 3 times, once Peggy's was out of vegetables, once out of meat. Only one time was i able to get a decent meal. Will not come back.

I stop there to eat when I pass thru Wrens & they always have the best home cooked food. Everything I have tried has been delicious! Highly recommended

We got there just after 1 on a Sunday. About a 15 minute wait yo get through the line and get our food.Southern buffet that was very good. Wrens is our half way point between Tybee Island and Cornelia, less than a half mile off of our route.We will be eating there again.

Really good steaks .....sweet tea was awesome......service was excellent. The ladies serving were wonderful and had an awesome sense of humor. As a trucker I will stop in again next time I come thru. There is a small parking lot across from this place....if ya good...its worth the skill to stop and eat here BIGCOUNTRY80

Great country cooking. We went for a late lunch around 2pm because at lunch time the place is full because the food is great. Had turkey and dressing, cabbage, green beans, and cornbread muffins. The food is excellent and portions are huge. No dinner for us tonight. We are too full. Will definitely come back when we are in Wrens. Everyone was extremely nice and pleasant. Very welcoming. You select your meat and 3 sides for $10. You can order a small plate, which is same size plate with smaller portions for $8. This restaurant was a great find today. Loved it.

Great food just like grandma would cook it. I'm giving it 5 ⭐ because of that but the quantity you get is a little under average. Will be eat there again & would recommend to anyone just dont expect a mound of food for $10 a plate.

Amazing food and friendly service. I only wish we lived closer so I could eat here several times a week! Hands down the best fried catfish, fried okra and turnip greens I've had since my Granny made them. Do not miss out on this place! We will be back, from Florida!

Awesome southern meat and three! I had fried Chicken butter beans blackeyed peas and corn fritters all cooked to perfection! Wife had a veggie plate with outstanding corn muffins. Definitely a local hot spot! We were lucky to find it with google aka assistant.

Oooh weee this is a top notch meat and 2, 3, or 4. I actually got the vegetable plate. The sweet potato cobbler is to die for. If you have not been to Peggy’s you have not lived. The service is friendly too.

It was delicious. My portions were small but it was all good since I was on a diet. Place was crowded . Ice tea was good.
